Layers of culture and colour

The contradictions and complexities of cultural belonging are explored by a group of artist now living in Australia. They drew their inspiration from their heritage in Italy, the Czech Republic, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Thailand.

Lecturer, Department of Art History,
National Art School, & Coordinator of
Public Programs, Art Gallery of New South Wales.

Jethro Lyne is a Coordinator of Public Programs at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and a Lecturer in the Department of Art History at the National Art School in Sydney, where for the past seven years he has been teaching courses on European art history, with a particular focus on European medieval art and architecture and on Russian art from the medieval to the modern periods.

Jethro has also lectured and tutored at the University of Sydney, at the ACU and at the AGNSW. His current research interests are in the field of French medieval sculpture.
